kc8oye
Hey.. I know it's been around for a while.. just got around to trying it today.. HOLY CRAP it's FAST compared to IE7!! (I installed Ie8 on here once, it broke the entire windows install, I was lucky I could get it uninstalled) there are few wierd display issues here on the board with it.. but nothing too major.. if you are intersted ian, I can give you a detailed report along with screen shots. Ian
Yeah it is pretty fast. I know about the couple display issues I have tried to fix them but it is a CSS issue, and when I fix it in one browser it breaks in others...
stangeba
I've used it for about two years now. One or two things it won't do but still use it. I am starting to dislike COMCAST's free NORTON. It prevents things like YOU TUBE for even working most of the time. Bruce
kc8oye
I've never liked Norton anything.. MASSIVE system resource hog.. my Dad had norton total security installed on this machine, (p4, 3.0ghz, hyperthread) with 1.0gb of ram at the time, running XP Pro SP2 at the time.. it made this machine run more like my old AMD K6-2 400 with 256mb of ram... after removing norton, it was like taking the parking brake off..lol I use AVG & windows firewall now.. (being behind a router, I'm not AS concerned about a firewall as I would be if I were directly connected)
stangeba
Anyone use AVAST anti virus?
Ian
That is what I am using on all my computers now. I have a "copy" of Norton enterprise, but gave up using it last year. I just did a roll out with a buddy at his office and he is using it there on 40 or so virtual PC's. I tested it with a couple virus test sites and it catches it so fast you can't even download the file...

Ian
To be honest I have not had a virus on my personal PC's in probably 10 years. I don't even get malware. I guess I just don't visit the right sites
