Engine missing, Paranoia

Only time I had a plug fouling like that it was a bad Cylinder Bore. The Bore was worn and Oil was getting by the Rings. Pulled the Engine, Bored .030 over and was back in Business.

 

I'm just going to drop in a big block

Could you not just get it bored out an additional .010"? Can you do that? might clean up any problems with oversized cylinders. Unless it is a ring problem. But if you get that far you would probably see that.

mike.. finding pistons in sizes other then std, +.030 and +.060 is really tough these days..

 

I remember you used to be able to order pistons in anything form .010 to .090 but most manufacturers seems to have stopped that.

or at least, the retailers have.
