Andreas
Any of you have installed the Sylvania H6024XV sealed beam replacement headlights? They are supposed to be 3x brighter than the regular headlights. Since they run about $12 each, it might be worth it? BTW: Looking for a replacement part no. for a light bulb? www.sylvania.com has a complete listing for our Montes... ------------------ 71 Monte 383 "The Full Monty" 86 Monte LS ZZ4 "The Gray Mouse" http://go.to/Monte Member NMCOA, FGMCC "It ain't a car if it's not a Monte"
Chevymd350
yeah i use them, they're great, especially with my new alternator. i've been playing around with the idea of getting driving lights and putting them either in the grill or in the parking lights somehow... but that will come later. MC-71
I put them in about 3 yrs ago. They do make a big difference. Also put in all bright bulbs in my stop and signal. But they don`t last long. The best thing I did was install a third brake light. I got it from Ron Frannis Wire Works. It fit perfect up on the top of my back window. It fit the angle of the window with in 1-2 degrees.
MeanMonte
I have them in my camaro, they make quite a big diffrence, a lot of the diffrence is the spread patern o them is a lot better and they are also quite a bit brighter, hey but then again i just bought a set of sylvania cool blues for the monte, i dont know how they are yet but they look really bright, they were around 16 each, take your pick they are both better and worth the money to me
Charlie72
SuperChevy just ran an article either last month or month before about installing a brighter light in 57 chevy. I think they had lights for all types of chevys. will check the article out.

Guest
Has anyone thought of using the headlights with the replaceable bulb (uses 9004 type) something like what the VW Cabrolets use? ( have also seen alot of cars in Germany with that type headlight.
Andreas
I am not 100% sure, but I think HELLA makes a replacement light with exchangable bulbs for our Montes. It is about $40 per light, though. Buys you three sealed beams per side for the same cost. ------------------ 71 Monte 383 "The Full Monty" 86 Monte LS ZZ4 "The Gray Mouse" http://go.to/Monte Member NMCOA, FGMCC "It ain't a car if it's not a Monte"
