  1. Never heard of it so I googled it. Very reasonably priced too.
  2. I like your method for clamping. I did the exact same thing on my 69 Camaro dash, except my original cups were completely gone. I had a little trimming but I used pretty much the entire pvc cap to create a new cup that I bonded to the back face of the dash using JB Weld. That was in 1999 and I still have the car. I think someone makes replacement cups now.
  3. He’s a club member. He posted some photos of the car on Friday. He was looking for a dome light lens.
  4. I think that’s the most options I’ve seen. Nice car,but priced outa my league.I noticed the trailing arms aren’t boxed.
  5. The government giveth and then taketh away.
  6. Damage to my headliner is the number1 reason I only use the lap belts. You could say my headliner is more important than my head.
  7. Got it. But how did it live behind, say 400 hp when a Vega would be lucky to put out 85?
  8. Need to get my “learned something new today fix”. What was special about that converter?
  9. The feds made seat belts mandatory in 68 and shoulders in the later half of 1970. Never wore any until the state made it mandatory. Only use the lap belts on the Monte.
  10. It’s funny you mentioned the pumpkin affect. I almost started my post with the “the great pumpkin”
  11. It looks really nice. My main concern would be possible stress cracks in the future if the plastic was showing some resistance during the installation.
  12. With a starting bid of 95k, I can see why there are 0. Description needs to read “used to be original”. I see they are using 71 production numbers too. With so many mods, the fact it may be a real SS is kind of meaningless to the value.
  13. I think the seller’s dreaming on that one. A bit of arrogance in the sellers opening statement too. Nowhere near enough photos also. Where’s the air ride? The hood with the 71 spear looks to be 3/8” above the left fender, and something doesn’t look right with the fit of the grill that really needs the SS emblems to go away. The headliner install looks to have issues too. I could go on, but no need.
  14. Great job Steve! It’s been a year and a half since I got to ring that bell.
  15. I think Rob just fired the first shot over the bow with that last sentence. Too many cool colors to choose, but I’m going with 71.
  16. Congratulations!
  17. Where’s the 402? Or through some creative boring and stroking that small block is now a 402? Or was it originally a 402 car? From the limited photos I’m seeing, an 11k reserve is pushing it.
  18. Was the song AC DCs Highway to Hell?
  19. Too bad that’s all the photos, but real or not, I bet for that price it sells right away.
  20. From the cooling fan wiring, sub and amp, exhaust (under the rear end?) installations just to start with, maybe he decided it’s time to cut bait and get out from under it. Either the speedometer's been changed or maybe it started out as a column shift. The seats and Chevelle door panels still work with the car, but I’d part with that chrome dash. Maybe he bought it from a minimal amount of photos, without actually seeing it in person.
  21. I still kick myself for not going with the 36x60 over the 36x48 metal building that I built in 07. That extra 12’ would’ve been nice. Of course if I’d gone that route, I’d still be making this post, but the number would be 72.
  22. No belt on the AC says there’s probably issues with that too.
  23. I believe it was Isuzu that made the Chevy LUV.
  24. At least it’s not rotary.
  25. My dad and I found a nice 76 lime green with white interior and a white 1/2 vinyl top for my mom back around 1980. It definitely wasn’t as nimble as my 71 I had at the time. Then again it was 300 pounds heavier.
