  1. I decided go with a wooden tip over jig instead of buying a rotisserie after seeing some pictures of other people's online. 5 2x6s, half a sheet of plywood, and some fasteners. For less than $100 it was pretty easy to build and I was easily able to tip over the shell by myself.

  3. Just about finished with patching the driver fender need to fix one more small spot as I found some pin holes in the very bottom while sand blasting, will get the inside cleaned up and remove any surface rust there is. Made my patch tonight and got it welded in. Probably would have saved some time buying them but will probably save about $150 bucks or so for patches and brace shipping etc.. I may sound cheap but will use the money elsewhere and I do enjoy making them and getting the satisfaction out of making them. Here are a couple pics of patch. just some sheet metal I had coming to shape All welded in ready for a little filler

  4. I got my stitches out today. My surgery was almost two weeks ago and even though that is a very short time it seems like it has been ages ago because I have been biting at the bullet to get back to working in earnest on the Air Conditioning on my Monte. I thought there were only 22 or 23 stitches but I counted them as they took them out and there were actually 27 stitches. I have never had removal of stitches to be painful but maybe because there were so many of them, about 1/2 way through it really started to be uncomfortable. I had to ask her to stop part of the way through. But.... that is over with now and I still have two more weeks of physical therapy with a therapist and then I will be finishing up on my own. All in all things have gone pretty much as they should and I seem to be on the road to recovery. rob

  5. Just wanted to share what I did for radiator coolant reservoir. I bought a 1975-79 nova bottle and mounted it in the passenger fender behind the battery. I did have to drill a mounting hole in the fender and had to pay attention where to mount it so the bottom of the bottle wouldn’t rub on the wires that come through the inner fender. The bottle does have a recessed channel on the bottom so that works out nice for those wires to run through.
