When I redid my 72 in 2013 I used and old bicycle inner tube in the metal before putting it on the glass. It was somewhat of a tight fit put it has held the molding in place since that time. After I had it on the window I just cut the excess off with a razor blade1 point

As long as you’re working on the Monte you won’t regret that decision. Also I’ll bet long after the Monte is done and or gone you will remain a member because of the people that you have come to know and trust. It’s not all about the cars here. Great decision and glad to have you on board.1 point
