I always thought power disc brakes and power steering were standard. If you did not want them you had to opt out for them. I could be wrong but it they were selling Montes as a personal luxury car I would think they would be standard power disc and power steering just my two cents.

The FW codes came on Montes 71 and up the 70 Monte code was different and I dont remember what it was. As for tire sizes not sure check the wheel and tire data base.

I had a 70 Monte that had a BOP 10 bolt they have athe scallops on both sides of the center section where the axle tubes are. Early 8.2 Chevys had a cover like a 12 bolt chevy. The later 8.2 and 8.5 chevy is very similar. The best way to be sure is to pull the cover and measure it and look for a part number on the ring gear. Arsin your car is factory right if your not looking to build a high horsepower engine a G body should be fine.

Post a picture it could be a BOP 8.2 or a BOP 12 bolt things get changed over the years. I had a 70 that had a 67 Chevelle 12 bolt in it.

I actually remember those as a kid. The shop my dad went to for alignments had one they also did his alignments with him in the car.

I agree find someone with a Hunter road force balancer. It will match the tire to the best location on the wheel or if it has too much road force then you will either have to drive 67mph or replace it.
