  1. I think they all came originally with them. Now the Cowl Screens are a different thing. I don't think they all came with those.
  2. I got mine at National Parts Depot. The same as the Chevelle. It's in the catalog.Part # C-9786-105A $38.95 Air Door complete with hinge.
  3. Sunburst Metallic Orange or fusion orange. The corvette version is Atomic Orange. The manifolds are high temp black paint and the heated the manifold with a torch before painting it. I stripped and repainted the trim and cleaned it with steel wool. No marks. Thanks for the compliments. I'm getting excited now.
  4. Thanks Tony, I was starting to wonder if I was going to get this far with it. Jim
  5. Does anyone know the correct spacing for this trim? I think Robert has it too high.
  6. The guy doing mine said he's not going to use the staples. Instead he will use the small Cotter Pins. He said it works well and is easier to install.
  7. Today at Autozone $29.99. i got it off the shelf. The last one in an old box. Ready Aire is the brand.

Very nice Car Phil. I can't wait to see it in person. Big Jim,
  9. My friend at the glass shop has polished the headlight lens on a Chrysler that has yellowed and it turned out nicely. He uses a buffer.

I heard the same about what you might have to do if you need to pull the tranny.
  11. It was a open cell foam tape. The tricky part is finding the right thickness and width. I think some of the reproducers are selling the specific tape for the ducts.
  12. Don't tell me that. All I have is SoftSeal upon recommendation. My power windows do squeal going up and down on the drivers side. And I haven't installed the new rubber yet.
  13. In NC the car must be 35 years old or more before you can use a vintage tag. Just keep your legal tag nearby. I got mine at the Auto Fair.
  14. There is a primer they use to make sure the Urethane will stick to the body. The Urethane is hard to remove from your fingers. You need to make sure you remove most of the old adhesive without going to the bare metal.A new single edge razor blade works good to remove it.I would prefer to let the glass guy do it.
  15. Get you a steel Speedo Gear Housing and replace the original aluminum houseing. That fixed my leak.
  16. It looks pretty simple to install, kinda like wallpaper My only concern is covering up screw and bolts holes that are pretty evident proir to installing the Dynamat.
  17. Well I ordered 3 bulk Extreme Dynamat kits on Ebay. 36 square feet each kit. I will be doing the interior, Doors,Firewall, Floor,Roof, Seat Back and Rear shelf. I hope that will be enough.
  18. Did you do the ceiling also with that 100 square foot?
  19. Guys, I haven't heard from John excpet to say that it would be too expensive for them to make but have turned mine over to another company to see if they might be able to reproduce. I haven't heard from him about the fender seals yet. I hope the originals make it back to me. Jim
  20. FYI, The latest response. "Jim, This can sometimes be a very long process. We are going to first make sure no one else has these parts. Then it will have to go before our new parts committee before. I have looked over the part with our engineer and it is a more costly & difficult part to produce than you would think. I will let you know as soon as I hear anything. John
  21. So, how do they sound? They Sound Great. Sorry. I bought a set of Kick Panels for a Chevelle minus the speakers and added a set of my own. I haven't installed them as of yet. Mine were made by Custom AutoSound.
  22. I haven't heard from John at Steele Rubber yet. I occasionaly send him a link to this post so he will see the demand for this item.
