I'm running the factory 3:31 gear set with a M20 and 402 Motor. Works very well on the highway up to 70mph, after that, I get the typical big block drone.

Oh Man!!!!!!!!! Not bragging nor complaining. Never respond to a post when you are in a hurry. LOL More than one wife.............sounds good and bad all at the same time. Youngest son and his girlfriend, middle son and his wife, eldest son is coming solo. Kathie and myself. Edit complete!!!! Now that I have cleared that up, I'm going to the shop and look at the Monte for the first time in many months, after all, I hear there is a Western Meet that we need to attend.

Good one Matt, lol. I have all three of my boys bringing Montes along with one wife and a girl friend. They can all now stay in the cabin and Kathie and I can now have our own room, ahhhhh . Peaceful sleeps............well if Keith doesn't keep us up all night.

If no one else is interested we will probably take the suite. That will free up two other rooms that I will then cancel if any one needs them.

Might have to reset your ride height. Jack the back of your car up and put jack stands under the frame. Support the rear diff and loosen your lower control arms only. Raise or lower your diff so you have around 11" of clearance between top of diff tube and bottom of frame. It is important that both sides are the same distance. Retighten your lower control arms. Drop car on the ground and see if you like the ride height. If not repeat process and raise or lower diff as needed. Not very scientific but I Have seen measurements between 10 and 12" depending on car. This will only work assuming your upper control arms have not been loosened during the conversion, if they have not, this should help with your bottoming out problem.
