  1. Always something to learn around here 🤘I never really dove into it before. When I upgraded to the Griffin rads I went with their recommendation/requirements for the warranty .
  2. I watched a little during the week, didn't see much over 50K which is the norm and nothing I was interested in. Always fri/sat are big money days with the primo cars way out of my pocket book range . Saw a 71 Merc Cougar 429 vert gavel for 150K, concours restoration and of course very nice. That kind of coin I'd be afraid to drive it and so its useless to me.
  3. Don't know why Rob is fixated on speedos and thongs................Arent they also referred to as "banana" hammocks ? 🤣
  4. Thats the plan, Bristol and Carlyle at the moment. After that tbd 🤣
  5. I pm'd Jared 😁 One thing I noticed in the site is (• Tow vehicles must have registration hanger in window at all times and cannot park in the show.) I didn't see anything in the registration page (just going on my experience with Carlisle) about hang tags. I'm assuming its the same for the drag strip I'll ask when I register and post the information then.
  6. Laughing, when I got back to the hotel for armchair racing Mike had recorded one of my runs......worst r/t of the weekend 😮 But it was my 1st FGMCC meet and I had a blast 🤘So glad I went even without the "imaginary Monte"🤣 I don't think my schedule will let me "break" the Monte before Bristol this year, but Tom I'll just run the suburban and hang out as always 🤣 BTW, who has the most meet attendances without a Monte ? 🤣 I'm planning on going to Bristol just to race Thunder Valley in the Monte. Would be great if the club meet goes on, not that I'd be much of a participant but great hanging with all the members here 🤘
  7. So now that we have returned to the "normal programming" Has anyone else raised their hand in interest ? I know most of my time will be at the drag strip
  8. LOL I knew as soon as I posted that I left the door wide open
  9. Wow don't I feel special, I got quoted twice 🤣
  10. As Joe said with Griffen, 50/50 and distilled.
  11. Will there be a hose provided for slicks and drag radials ?
  12. Asking for a friend, if Dennis hosts at his house is the club rule no burnouts in the driveway still apply? 🤣
  13. I fog it and leave it alone
  14. This group has been with Tri-Five Nats (not affiliated anymore), F-Body Nats, C10 Nats
  15. Are you stepping up to host/run/organize ?
  16. I think the last club meet in Bristol was 2021
  17. When I had mine rebuilt I asked my builder what he recommended....Amsoil is what I use
  18. Also from the Bristol site......if you want to take your Monte down the track Friday night. NHRA rules below The Bowtie Nationals Friday Night Fun Runs are free for all registered showparticipants to take their vehicle down the track. Just thought I'd pass along the safety rules for anyone wanting to take a run Friday nite Street Cars The following items are required for a vehicle and driver to pass tech: Good tires, a solid battery hold down, radiator overflow reservoir, functioning neutral-safety switch, seat belts, and a valid state driver's license or NHRA competition license for all participants. The driver must wear long pants, closed toe shoes, and a shirt. 13.99 seconds (8.59 1/8th) Drive Line Loop with slicks Approved helmet (Full face in open cars), see below SFI 3.2A/1 Jacket in vehicles equipped with non-OEM nitrous oxide, turbochargers or superchargers (edited) I think this post means I'm interested 🤣
  19. Not a fan of some of the mods but posting it anyway. I clicked on the sellers link but struggled as it in French 🤣 https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/listing/1971-chevrolet-monte-carlo-thetford-2766595
  20. I know this is going way back, but just ran across it so thought I'd share
  21. Yea I wondered about the underside too, especially since its plated from Maine. The module looks like it has enough slack (service loop) it could be easily relocated. I'd have to ditch the cup holders tho 🤣
  22. Looks pretty nice to me https://www.westportautocenter.com/vehicles/243/1972-chevrolet-monte-carlo
  23. I'm with willie, unless there's a foot/slipper/ in the photo doubt Dennis took it🤣
  24. My 70 SS has them Can't verify if born with tho
