Don't recall any club discounts mentioned. Some threads have mentioned ARH, Gardner, Pypes for exhaust systems (example below)

Looks like they still have the 3 in inventory, they just re-listed the silver one on eBay

After following this I'm SO glad I'm not an "original"/"stock" kinda guy......This would drive me to drink and I don't need any help in that arena 🤣

If it weren't for Carlisle, I probably would have pushed it another year on the tires 😮Good thing the grocery stores come out with the weekly coupons and bogo's tomorrow 🤣

I too remember Robs story 😡 Ive seen Mecums "suggested prices" can't say I'm always in agreement. Its a reserve car so it will be interesting to see if anybody digs deep in their pockets. Interesting point is that Rob knows the car so the bonafides are there, not that sellers ever stretch the truth or anything

Just an update, going with the goodyear endurance.....they can get them at the local shop and cheaper than summit 😀I'm juggling schedules now since I can't get the trailer to the shop, I'll have to take in 2 at a time 🙃 But at least that will be off the list, now if mother nature would just play nice for a day or two 🙃

I had double checked myself yesterday after Rob posted something in a thread, I didn't remember if they were being mailed or needed to be picked up. The email stated they would be mailing them

Cant answer the question, but curious how are you going to mount them on the mirror? I don't have sport mirrors so its a non issue for me just curious on the look. Interesting that on my new truck the turn signal is no longer in the side mirrors.

I'm in between the goodyear and Carlisle brand at the moment. GY are $184 and Carlisle $112 each. Gotta go to the local tire store next week and see what's what. Those are Summit prices, as I was telling Joe when I bought my drag radials from summit I couldn't get any local (FL) tire stores to mount tires I didn't buy from them. Finally traveled a bit south and found a shop to mount them but there was a "surcharge" (my words not theirs) for mounting the tires. 🙃

I got 10 ply now, believe the goodyears are also 10. Running Westlake brand, just wondering what everyones experience/opinions are

I wanted to build a clean bracket car, started and still looking for a 71/72 429 Cougar. So I started looking for a plan B. I like long hood 70's cars, I can easily cruise down the boulevard no matter what's under the hood and just enjoy the ride without getting stupid 🤣 Always liked Monte's so plan B was a first gen SS, think they were starting to get more attention when I went on the hunt. The wish list started with triple black, after about a year that didn't pan out so revised my wish list/priorities and kept on hunting. I was a lurker first on the forum, sucking up knowledge like a sponge 🤣Actually bid against a member here on a Monte at Mecum then 🙃Ran across my triple green Monte on Ebay, in Cali, flew out, checked it out and bought it. Been smiling ever since, except the few times of scraped knuckles, snow balls, and waiting on parts. The forum and members here have made owning a first gen great! I laugh, when I bought my 73 Cougar, I told my buddy man I haven't turned a wrench in 20 years, he laughed and said don't get to excited, you weren't very good at it back then 🤣Thanks to all who have walked me through my travels

I started searching for a triple black SS, no luck so ended up with a triple green. No complaints here.

I used the leaf blower today to blow the winter dust off, then the california duster. Finally had some time to begin un-wintering. Weather doesn't look promising for anything else this weekend 😡

Just a guess with the light, 2 prong connector does provide a short to activate the light when the sender reaches its temp point I can't be of more help since I have gauges but you may find some info in the posted wiring diagrams

Had to laugh, 1st review I read on the Zaino show car kit was from a Corvette owner 🤣

No issues with blue for me, remember I got chauffeured around last year in a blue Monte 🤣
