    Rear Air Shocks

Hey guys I'm looking for a direct replacement for the rear air shocks. What are you guys using? I saw some at Rock Auto (AC DELCO 504516) Any pros or cons?
  2. Hey guys I was working on my power steering pump today and it slipped out of my vice and fell on the ground and dented the fill hole pretty good. To the point that the cap will not fit. Where is a good place to get an identical new or rebuilt unit?
  3. Definitely! I've bought a boat load of specialty tools over the last few months for my car restoration.
  4. Hey guys is this the correct power steering pump for a 71? Not sure if big blocks got different pumps?
  5. Sounds good Dan. I will reach out to you in a few weeks or so. I'm in the process of having the remainder of my suspension powder coated and re-assembling it. Those shock protectors are key to completion.
  6. Wow nice car! We;come to the club.
  7. The pickle fork works very good. I paid 10 dollars for mine. I just disassembled all of mine.
  8. Hey Joe thanks for the link! I never knew about the GM Heritage Center.
  9. Thanks for the info guys. Does anybody know what the stock ration is?
  10. Nice work Dan! How much are they? I do not need them painted as I'm having all of my suspension parts powder coated. Ron
  11. Welcome aboard! Nice car!
  12. It only took me about a week (a few hours each day). LOL!
  13. Eastwood Rust Dissolver works great. Get a 1 gallon bottle and let them soak overnight. https://www.eastwood.com/rust-remover-eastwood-rust-dissolver.html
  14. Thanks guys! Yeah I polished the heck out of the plate and screws on the other side then realized after that nobody would ever see them. LOL!
  15. I just got mine cleaned up and mounted. Just waiting for a ball stud to come in so I can install the rod.
  16. Beautiful piece of artwork right there! I just picked one up from a member though. One thing that I would like to get is the rear shock protectors.
  17. Hey guys check this out in regards to tires browning. Tire sidewalls turn brown mainly because of an element added to the rubber called antiozonant. It saves tires from premature drying and cracking due to the process of oxidation. Tire browning is usually called blooming. It’s a continuing process that can be prevented by thoroughly cleaning and protecting the tires
  18. Does anybody know what the height of the stock coil springs are? I'm trying to figure out if mine are stock or aftermarket. Should they say GM ob them somewhere?
