I’d say no on the seats, not sure about the steering wheel but I doubt it. Giving a push of the pedal is normal for carb cars. First push actually activates the choke if it’s original.

Check to make sure you didn’t pinch a wire between the starter and the block. Just spit balling here.

Post pictures of the booster. They are pretty standard parts for all the Montes.

Based on the 3510 part number, that’s the same number that most all aftermarket ( rebuilt) starters use got that model. That part number works on most small and big blocks for a lot of years. Same thing my 71 used.

Check the inside diameter of the original vs. new one. I’ll bet it’s off. I think that’s to much movement. But may not hurt anything as long as it’s all locked together. -
Any ideas for good quarte panel rust repairs?

Vinyl top is peeling so it’s coming off anyway. I agree full quarter on drivers side and possibly patch passenger side. Double ditto frame issue first. Everything depends on that being right. Still very doable. -

Ok so according to The Parts Place they are not called sail panels they are called ear muff boards( don’t ask me why) and even though the headliner says not included my actually came with both sail covers and the one for the package tray (?).

I just bought a set from the parts place. Got it yesterday. I got a set of dark blue finished and also a set of uncovered panels because I have plenty of dark blue headliner material.

I wish you good luck with this project. I know my skill set. I’ll pay. Lol. And now probably twice. Watch the holes your bars come out of if you put them in the low spots the dome light will suck up into the headliner and it will also hit you head when you sit it the car. Hence mine getting redone.
