  1. Actually, it appears later in the movie with an over sized '69 Z28 induction hood.
  2. Saw this "Beast" in a newer movie titled "Mob Land". Not that good, but had a lot of classics in it.
  3. They seem to be popular with the T.V. restoration guys.....
  4. The "brup, brup, brup" while sitting at the lights is always a good conversation starter too...

If I'm understanding your new jack right, it's powered and uses a cigarette lighter type plug in end. I have a similar powered air compressor, and instead of using the outlet in the car, I found an adapter (made by Dorman) that has the female socket at one end and battery clips at the other. That way you can draw power directly from the battery without straining the rest of the electrical system. The good one comes with a built in 20 amp fuse/holder.
  6. That's another good point..... Big Brother can't track older cars unless you let him.
  7. Landlocked "nuclear wessles" with no real control system...... At least Chicago's safe this week.
  8. Just finished round two here...... And my neighbours have caught on to my tricks. They're waiting for me to shovel before they come out.
  9. -17c here.... So about the same.
  10. Still -30 there too ???
  11. What scares me about these electric cars is the acceleration..... Just the thing you want to give a 16 year old with a new licence.
  12. Isn't that why we all bought Monte Carlos as retirement projects ??? Easy to work on, easy to get in and out of, and classy ?? lol
  13. I used 2 short rachet straps hooked to the frame to lower and re install my th350..... Bit of a balancing act, but it got the job done.
  14. Sure !!!! I don't think I could spend all that money by myself...... I'd try, but it would be pretty hard to do.
  15. Interesting custom cruiser...... Would make a good starting car for someone who likes to tinker and restore.
  16. Joe, Does that include winning lotto numbers ???? LOL !!

  18. It's at a dealership...... I'm wondering if they can install Onstar ??
  19. It's available with an extended warranty......
  20. Loved to sing about BANANAS....
  21. Blonde girl singer.... Big in the late '90's-00's. Married to Blake Sheldon. (if that helps)
  22. Hey Bob, When I replaced my steering box I just left the unit loose from the frame and there was enough play to get the rag joint in without pulling the steering column. Mind you, it was a factory type box from a late model Grand Cherokee, but the dimensions should be the same. Hope that helps, Scott.
  23. I'm beginning to think Dennis has been to one to many Gwen Stefani concerts.......
  24. I was wondering that too..... From the pictures, the door looks "shorter" across the top than across the bottom. Is it the original door ?
  25. Even someone with those skillsets can make a mess of it..... My passenger's door gap proved that. As has been said, everything interacts with everything else. But if you have the time and a high tolerance for repeating things, you could get a fairly good idea of what to do by looking at the whole thing several times. Get to know where ALL the bolts are,(under the fender, behind the door, down the firewall, behind the battery or washer tank....) and which direction things will move if you add/remove shims before you jump into it. And a second set of hands is helpful to, to hold things in place while you make those adjustments. Best of luck, should you choose to complete the mission.
