unfortunately my parents live 25 minutes away so I am not there all the time. I will get that the next time I go there......

i have rebpooted my moms computer & my dads along with the router & modem. Cable company rebooted modem & did not help either. Now that I think back, dads computer is reading my moms isp address and it says the connection strength is excellent & it is connected but just will not give internet access - it just displays that the web page (yahoo) is not available. maybe a linksys router is all he needs instead of the netgear one. And he does have a wireless thingy plugged into the back of his tower.

okie dokie - I will print this out once I get my desktop working and I can print. Can I add my wired printer to my linksys router and print off my laptop?

I had a tough time finding tires with the white wall width exactly as they came in '71 but I got VERY close when I found these tires & managed to get them just before they got discontinued. I have Cooper Lifeliner SLE WW Touring P225/70R15

So my mom has a desktop in her office with a modem & netgear router. everything is properly connected & working. My dad has a desktop in his room that should work via the router & modem in my mom's office. He cannot get on line. It shows he has excellent connection (from the router) but cannot access internet. I have spoken with netgear & the ISP and everything is working. He has even taken his tower in to be checked and they say all is great. Any thoughts??? I have spent hours HOURS HOURS on the phone with all the various help desks and everything checks out. I am lost and he is 74 and new to this whole computer thing so that makes this challenging, too.

Thanks Allan & Ian - appreciate the help So if it is the power supply & we replace that, will my hard drive and that still be good or have I lost everything because of this? Does Greg need to wear grounding straps to replace the power supply?

Is there a way for Greg to test the power supply? Call me please.....cell is in the mod forum.

I just read that link - as foreign as it was to understand. Funny, we did lose power some time last night because we got up this morning to blinking clocks & the computer not turning on. I guess I need to take it somewhere? really??? Or is it time for a new one? usb ports on the front? nothing is connected to them. ????????????????????????????????????

WHAT DOES IT MEAN WHEN MY DESKTOP COMPUTER WILL NOT COME ON? THE POWER BUTTON GOES TO A FLASHING YELLOW INSTEAD OF GREEN POWER AND THE MINITOR POWER BUTTON STAYS YELLOW TOO. HELP....DID MY HARD DRIVE JUST DIE OR IS THE TOWER DEAD?
