  11. I guess we were looking into your eyes rather than at your chest Cool Shirt, Joe!
  12. Today I found & printed out my VERY FIRST Post from here on the FGMCC - kind-a cool to me since it is when it all began the car and most importantly, the club. I think its kind-a cool that 7,384 posts later my original post still exists. Thought I would print this before it gets deleted. Glad it was still here It is also funny to read how I responded to everyone via their board name and how friendly everyone was to me since day 1
  13. Most newspapers will if you call them.
  14. Seriously you are being overly kind & generous to Queenie - there are so many that are way above mine - for example, Tony's, Jerry's & that tourqious one to name a few....... If you keep this up you all are going to force Greg to strip it down to bare metal & repaint it so it meets his standards & truley is show/award worthy. Greg doesn't understand either why it has won anything this month and doesn't feel the car deserved it either. Everyone really needs to take a closer look at & see the MANY imperfections & problems.
  15. It was all about the door props, RVP - it just gave it that "showy" look But thank you for the kind words - I am still not getting it or understanding it - guess I just see the modified cars as so much more show quality than my plain stock car. They are just so much more flashier & you can SEE the work involved in getting them to that point.
  16. OHHHHHH..NOW I know who CK is!!! You should have told me your board name ....
  17. maybe you or Steve can scan it & post it here...
  18. 177 CONFORTI, WILLIAM 1987 BUICK GRAND NATIONAL CLASS WINNER * Best Buick Hey Willie...do you know that because you also won "Best Buick" you will be getting the show winner jacket?!?!! Now how is that??? Congratulations!!!!!!!!!
  19. Nice pics, Mark! That pink burn-out was incredible and we saw it from the tent! He should have won!!
  20. Thanks for clarifying that Mark! It was great to see you again!
  21. Hope its ok - just still so excited that Queenie has won some awesome awards this year that I wanted to post the pics of them. Still in shock over it but so HAPPY!!!!! I never thought I would have an award to post pics of! Check out the pics of the montes on the GM Nationals Award -
  22. Today I received this email from a Monte Owner who was at Carlisle this past weekend. He gave me the OK to share his email with the FGMCC Membership. Thanks to all who made him feel "welcome" The FGMCC is one amazing family - we will never be a typical "car club". Quote: Was recently at the GM Carlisle with my 1970 Monte Carlo...They were spotlighting the Monte Carlo and the Corvair aniversary. I was grouped in with a few or more of your club members. I am please to say your members are some of the most hospitible and social people I have had the pleasure of being near in many car shows I have attended. I felt that everybody was happy to meet and great new people. My car is far from perfect however not one person from your group or anyone else seem to look down or pick at my ride. I restored the car from a wreck and it took a long time to repair. I am very proud of the vehicle because from the wheel to the roof, I performed the repairs. Every thing on the vehicle was repaired or replaced by my hands. So many people have the work done by some one else. I am very protective as you can imagine. Your group however made me feel at home all week end long. I had a great weekend at the GM Carlisle show and you should know it was because of your group and their hospitality...I am sure you will see me as a new member very soon... Thanks again, Tom Carter
