If it's brown that wire goes to the sending unit only. The other wire by your axle is ground only.If this brown wire gets broken your gauge will go to the full or beyond. If the wire get grounded it will go to the empty mark.

Big lump in my throat. installed seat belts, rear view mirror, drivers seat, painted steering column, dash and painted and installed my rechromed grill. Another 2 weeks and it will be on the road I think! -

I put my hood back on after attaching all the cowl induction parts. Will do some pics or vids later. aving the windshield and back glass installed Monday. -

I have a faint idea how many hours I've got in my 70 (straight rider)other than many, and not counting money but to go the extreme you guys go to would set me back a year or two! My hat is off to you.

Thumbing through my factory assembly manual it shows only 10 total mounts for a coupe, 4 door sedan and sport coupe. bot does show 12 total for a conv.which would be position 1 on the body, and it would be floating as well. #1 position is inside of the firewall, #2 would be the outside corner of the firewall. Doesn't clarify if it's a big block or not just 13000 series.

When I took my body off the 70 it only had 2 as well (outer). Replacement kit showed inside mounts for convertible. I only installed the outer ones. Not sure if it was correct or not.

Mine is a 70. And I would think the price would be close. So far they have done allot of plating for my 70. They did have to send the bumpers off to keystone, they didn't have a big enough tank. Don't be in a hurry though.

They have my grill and side mirror now.

I'll take the time when I'm done. Not so much depressed but amazed how much I've spent when I only planed on having a nice driver. One thing lead into another. After 4 years I can see the end of the tunnel.
