  1. Welcome to the FGMCC !!! That is exactly what I run.15x7 GM Rally rims with P255-60-15 in the front and 15x8 GM Rally rims with a 5 inch backspace, with P275-60-15 in the rear. The tires are BF Goodrich Radial TA's with no fitment or rubbing issues. Prior to changing to the above sizes, I had 15X7 Rally rims all around with BFG Radial TA's P235-60-15 all around.
  2. I do the same thing. Gotta make the most use of your space.

    Well said, Dan !!!
  4. Congrats on your awards and representing the First Generation Monte Carlo Club !!!
  5. Took a nice ride down to the Captree Boat Basin , a weekly cruise in that goes from Fall thru the Winter into mid Spring. I drove down with Jimmy, Bill and their cars, met Al and Greg and Bill there, all First Generation Monte Carlo Club members. It was cold at 8am, but a beautiful crisp and clear fall day. It was great to see everyone.
  6. Anyone that knows Greg, knows he is a character, and wants the super sleeper look for his Monte. It has hubcaps, a tow hitch, radio delete plate, it's very quiet, and now wants whitewall tires to complete "the look". He drives with his "old man" hat on, and his car really suprises the guy next to him. It will be interesting to see white walls on a set of drag radials.
  7. Forward progress. Looking good !!!
  8. Congrats Aaron. Really nice looking SS. Great photo of all 3 First Gen's. enjoy them all !!!
  9. Nice choice Cory. It gives your Monte a whole different look !!!
  10. It's always nice to see a pair of Monte's and FGMCC members flying down the track. Nice photo and thanks for sharing !!!
  11. You can always drop a big block in it. That will lower it. All kidding aside, were the proper front springs installed back in 1985? It sounds like big block springs may have been installed at that time.
  12. Polish it up, pack it up, and load it up on the trailer. The clock is ticking. Looking good !!!
  13. Congrats Abe. Looking good !!!
  14. Correction on my part. As Mike had said, ET Street Radial is DOT approved, not the new ET Street Radial Pro. Please check the Mickey Thompson website for reference.
  15. Most members that run a bigger tire and rim combo fit a P275/60/15 on an 8 inch rim with 5 inch backspace with no problem. Mickey Thompson ET Street Drag Radials seem to be the tire of choice. There is supposedly a new compound that bites better. They are DOT approved, but for dry pavement use only. If you go to the Mickey Thompson website, I believe there is a $50 dollar rebate too, from April 1, 2013 until June 30, 2013.
  16. Nice video. Looking good Mike !!!
  17. Have them Magnaflux it too.
  18. That is very impressive, but quite stupid !!!
  19. Dusted it off and went to a Cruise in on Saturday night. Met up with Steve, Scott, Bill, and Dom who all had their cars. Dan will have his Monte soon, finishing reconstruction. Nice turnout there. Took a nice ride early Sunday morning to Captree to meet Steve, Al, Dan, and see Greg's sleeper "Monster Monte". Still cold out, but a good turnout. We are all waiting for the weather to finally warm up here.
