Steve, (Monteman1971) ordered new front end parts for my Monte. After 41 years, I think it's time to replace and upgrade the steering and suspension. I will assist him with the rebuild. All the parts are factory replacements.

New front suspension parts were ordered. Upon completion, I should have a 4000 lb Monte slot car !!!

I assisted Steve (Monteman1971) with some work on my Monte. We installed a quick ratio steering box, new front brakes, and linelock. I wiped it down last night for today's morning cruise to the weekly Sunday OBI Cruise. I saw Steve and Wayne this morning and had coffee with the boys, (whoever is there) as we attend this cruise on a weekly basis. Now my Monte handles much better, stops very well, and lays down lots of rubber when needed.

Took a nice ride to a Weekly Cruise in the next county with Steve and Bill yesterday evening. We met up with Al and Dom too. Our Monte's drew a lot of attention. It was a beautiful night for a drive and to see some of the boys. I think we all needed some "Monte Therapy" after Hurricane Irene.

I missed my weekly Sunday ride to Captree / OBI to meet "the boys for coffee" this morning due to my daughter's Lacrosse game. I did meet up with Steve Levanti later and we went to local annual "car show" and had a good time. I installed my new FGMCC Radiator Cover earlier this week, and it was a big hit at the show.

No reason for a spool on the street. It's for track use only. It will destroy tires and axles on the street.

I know some of the "guys" at Protorque, and have dealt with them on a professional and non-professional basis. I have used them in the past and they are "true gentlemen" who build a quality product. They have been "true to their word", to me and I have no problem recommending them. Threir customer service is excellent. I am planning to use them again in the near future.
