  1. The front bottom proved to be the most difficult a lot of pulling tuggging and stretching and of course cutting. But I wrestled with it for a while tonight untill my daughter got home. Then we had our triditional green beer together as we do every year in honer of my dad. He would have been 90 today. Him and I started doing it when I was just a kid and my daughter joined us when she was 16 now its just her and I. Any how heres the seat almost complete. The next pictures will be when its all back together.

  3. I didnt use the carb selonid with the new carb so I just clipped the wire from the ignition and used the + wire form the selonid its 12 volts with the key on works fine.

  6. Thanks, I thought about you today the asbestos abatment co. thats working in our building had some equiptment made in Bay city mi. arospace air or something like that. Also we used to have a basketball player that played here that was from bay city Eric Devendorf was his name good player but cocky lol
  7. I got the top of the back seat done tonight and it didnt come out bad at all there was a lot of streaching and pulling but I got it. Its a little rough on the hands but worth it. I have the back of the front seat in place just have to hog ring it on that one wasnt as bad as I though it was going to be. Heres the back in just set in not really in. Going to work on more tomorrow if time allows my mom is coming to town so im not sure.
  8. I wanted some kind of cloth and the velour is nice and comfy and not as hot. I have velour in my merc gran marques too.
  9. Yea I thought about that too its still not to late, I havent put and hog rings so im still thinking about it well see.
  10. Went down tonight and roughed some stuff out just laid the carpet in place and placed the cover in place. nothing is succered yet just laid out. It all seems to fit pretty good but hopefully the carpet lays out a little better, im going to warm it up a bit and stretch it some more. Heres a couple pics. Oh yea im going to have to get some kind of cover for the seats for when the dog rides with me it showes everything, she loves riding in monte and getting ice cream.

  12. Wo hoo the new covers and carpet both arived on the same day got home from work late so I couldnt work on it at all but I got them unpacked and warming them up in the house. I should be able to go and work on it tomorrow night for a while i'll see how much I can get done and post some pictures.
  13. I checked with walker and ap parts when looking for mine the front pipes werent available anymore but the tail pipes were there 2 inch od 54109 and 54110 are the ap numbers. I used glass packs on mine and had the front pipes made they came out real nice. the guy that built them is a friend of mine and knows his stuff. He should I trained him.

  15. Wow I guess you did get some parts there and more coming. Good luck with the project. We have a member that has the actual car used in the movie but hes selling it or maybe already sold it. I think its in the for sale section. Good luck and have fun with that project.

  17. Carpet is in shipping as we speak and hopefully seat covers next week im getting a bit inpatient but thats what happens when you order custom stuff I guess

  19. How old is the gas Scott and is it high enough octane for the added performance, Just a thought.

Went down and worked on the car more tonight got the tach in and all wired up even the light works when ya turn the headlights on and got the reast of the heat barrier all set now I just have wait untill the carpet and covers get here oh yea I got another monte too one of our CSO's gave it to me he's a monte fan too and his son has one. He's a member here but not sure if hes on the message boards
  21. Rodney had a post about who he sent his too. It was "sending my bumpers off" it gives the name of a place and I thing others have used them too.

  23. I almost went with that color but the blue just jumped out at me. Is that b/c c/c if so some wet sanding and buffing and it will look like a million bucks. Nice work there.
  24. Its a reflective barrier I got it at lowes someone suggested it I think it was Wallaby it is easy to work with and was on about 25 bucks enough to do the whole thing. Its cuts easy and forms in place good I used 3m spray adhisive seems to be working good.
  25. Alright I have made progress over the last couple weeks waiting for the parts when it wasnt to cold New burlap on the rear seats New canvis on the front seat and also added some springs New heat barrier and sound deadner The covers and the carpet should be shiped early next week
