    color code

Robert, the interior code is 731 which is covert, but that's for the seats. The color i"m looking for is the dash and kick panels.

    color code

Looked at the cowl tag, really doesn't tell me the color code. The closest color match I found was something called "bluebird brown". I gonna go with it and see how it turns out.

  6. Hello all, I have a question (I always seem to have one) recently my horn stopped working, I only hear a "clicking" when i hit the horn button. I don't like nor I'm very good with electrical issues. What are some of the points I may want to check first, My first thought was horn relay, but not sure. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks, Abe
  7. Had my interior redone about a year ago and experienced similar issues as you taller folks, I'm only 5'8. I corrected the issue by having the shop shave off some foam from the bench seat and added track extensions, about 1.5 - 2 inches. At first it was still a bit tighter than I would have liked it, but now with some ware the seat has soften up to more comfortable position. I like Murphy's idea for the seat extension.
  8. RH mirror control is very nice. Never knew of or seen one before like that. How rare are those?
  9. Good question. Mine are in the middle slot and springs up pretty good, which slot would reduce the tension?
  10. Bruce, great write up, dig the pictures. I remember I had the body guy install mine and used the wrong gasket. I re-installed it myself, the nuts were a pain to tighten as you mentioned. Oh and had more than a few scraches on my hands. Overall I think its well worth it, kinda balances out the car someway, not to mention the safty feature.
  11. Dennis, It did not cause any damage. In fact, as I opened the trunk I heard fall onto the trunk floor. Got luck I guess. Sorry to hear bout your fender damage. Abe
  12. Dennis, I'm not particular whether the rods are new or not as long as they do the job. I've sent both Leo and Jared messages. Thanks, Abe
  13. Mike, Thank you for the right up on this. I'm more of a visual person, so yes pictures and videos would be very helpful to me. One question, what do you mean you did the work from the rear of the car? I'm still shopping around for the rods, those things are pricey (I think) 75 - 45 per set. Thanks again, Abe
  14. Hello all, Not sure if this is the right place to ask about this. One of the trunk tension rods broke (driver side) trunk will not stay up. Is this something that can be replaced and installed fairly easy? I've heard that it can be a pain. Any help and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Abe

    Skirts on SS???

I have skirts on mine with no issues. The skirt itself sits about half way on the centercap (2" lowering springs) as far I know the wheel size is 15x7 originals. See the sig pic.
  16. Will be replacing my front bushings soon as well. Is the conensus here - rubber over urethane? Also, what brand have you all had the best results? Thanks Abe
  17. Hello, Any pictures of the truck carpet kit installed? Thinking of getting one myself, would like thoughts and opinions on the qualitiy. Thanks, Abe
  18. Sam, Okay, i get the picture now (pun intended). Looks simple enough, I'll give it a try see how it works out. Thanks Sam.
  19. Sam, So you would place this shut off valve "inline" on the hose leading into the heater core? If possible could you post a picture of the set up. Thanks. Arron, Are you saying that '72 do not have heater control valves?
  20. I will look into the valve to see if its operating right. If not I may opt for the water shut off valve. First Gen - both seals are new, replaced about 2 years ago. Thanks everyone for the ideas and suggestions.
  21. I too changed the heater core about 2 years ago (what a pain) A/C car. I expect some heat, but it seemed to have gotten worst recently.
  22. Hello all, I have a question: I've recently notice that when driving around in the Monty, it's been getten pretty warm / hot in the interior, I'm guessing from engine heat. Is this normal for our cars? What can be done to reduce this problem? Thanks, Abe
  23. Great looking Montes. Video was very cool.
