Hello, I the Monte out for a evening cruise on Friday and for the most part it ran pretty good. However, after being in traffic for awhile their was a stretch of road in which I was able to let it run, after letting off the gas the Monte began to bog down and eventually shut off in the middle of the road. tried to start it but it seemed like it had flooded out (smelled like gas). After moving to the side and checking under the hood definitely smelled like gas and I saw gas dripping from the carb (could tell from where). After a couple of mins the Monte started right up and hasn't happened again. What could have caused this? I had the carb rebuilt recently and will take it back this week. Just want to have some idea of what could've happened. Thanks.

Congrats on the Monte. Looks very clean and one that actually looks good with the top up (good conversion). Hope you get better soon.

Yeah. No real issues. Just wondering if it would improve anything like starting or gas mileage.

Hello, can some one explain to me the difference or benefits of running a high performance coil vs. a reg stock coil? I am running a stock 350 - 2bbl (don't laugh) just a cruiser. I did change from points to electronic system (Accel). Would it make a difference, worth the cost? Thanks in advance

Drove it to work today. Also broke the dome light cover by accident (it was the original - darn it). It was cracked and brittle, didn't take much to break it. Ordered a new one, once it arrives I will install it.

Bit much for my taste. But, overall pretty cool.

Just outta curiosity, are those trim pieces really that "rare" to find? Wonder why there not reproduced.

Replaced my grill badge/emblem with one from OPG. I was also thinking of painting the knights on my parking lights. Has anyone done this before?

Had the carburetor rebuilt and reinstalled it. Runs like a champ now. I was having some issues with it bogging out at times and not being able to adjust it. The guy at the shop said it was definitely time to clean and rebuild it.

That turned out really nice.

I just installed the Accel (same reason as you) unit in mine a little over a month ago, so far so good. Install was pretty simple, as others have said the distributor has to come out.
