  1. Hi Darren, you have a book? You da Man! No problem re. the P.M.'s Darren. I can't find out more info until Monday anyway. Hope the meds do the trick and I hope you are getting the rest you need. Cheers, Larry
  2. Hello all, On my G.M. Canada supplied Option list for my car, the option code "B94 Ornamentation Package" is listed as being on my car. My question is...what is it? Is it the rear view mirror map light maybe or is it something else? Any assistance with deciphering this would be much appreciated. Cheers, Larry
  3. Hey Guys, would you mind sending me the info you have on rebuilding/mounting/installing the load level compressor system? I'd really appreciate it. If you can PM me with it, that would be great emailing it direct to me would be great also. Thanks, Larry
  4. I would just give them the best cleaning up and painting without spending more than $20 on them. That's what most people would do after purchasing a set anyway. I doubt many people would bother blasting and posder coating them but I could be wrong. I guess it depends on how much pitting there is on them before clean up. I just received the shock protector plates I ordered from STMC and I'm really impressed with them. They need very little clean up before re-spraying with black paint. Cheers, Larry
  5. I've seen a restored set for $400 but they had been blasted and powder coated so they were like new. Its a very rare item though so I understand the big asking price. There's a non-restored air ride compressor tank on ebay right now and they want $350 for it (same guy with the brackets)
  6. Hey Jim, I have some of that Turtle Wax Black Box that I received as a Christmas present. I'm looking forward to trying it on my Monte. Glad you liked it. Now I'm looking forward to it even more. Cheers, Larry
  7. Hey Jared, that's a great find then. There's a set of original brackets on ebay right now with an asking price of $250. Cheers, Larry
  8. I found some brackets....and then some. I should have them within the next 2 weeks. I also found an incredible deal on some other parts and I pick them up tomorrow. I'll post the details tomorrow night. Cheers, Larry
  9. Got mine out of storage today and it fired right up with no issues. It was still clean and shiny so I'm pretty impressed with the cover. I went for a short spin and put my new floor mats in it that I purchased from Year One. Tomorrow I will do some detailing and put my personalized plates on.
  10. Hi David, those are awesome. You are very talented. We should have you working in our ad department at the newspaper. I'm with Bruce on this one. I would love one of a 71 SS in black, no blower and with rallies when ready. I may even buy 2. Well done! Cheers, Larry
  11. Here's a guy in Toledo with some Nova marker lights http://toledo.craigslist.org/pts/2910049325.html
  12. That will make one heck of a grocery getter Garrett. You planning on putting wings on it? WOW! Keep posting progress please. I don't have the knowledge to do such a project but I do understand a lot of it and therefore I appreciate the effort that goes in to a build like that.
  13. I installed the same springs last fall but my car is still in storage or I'd measure for you. I'm putting in some coil risers soon to bring it up another inch as well. The variable rate springs will keep it from sagging when you have people in the back seat or something heavy in the trunk. If you wish to get some good height without risers, you may wish to go with El Camino springs instead as others in the club have done.
  14. Maybe you didn't get my PM. Don't worry about it anyway. It's not a big deal. I have my eye on another set anyway. Cheers, Larry
  15. I guess the offer I P.M.'d wasn't high enough....LOL
  16. Hey Ed, any chance it crossed the border somehow to Canada?
  17. Speedo? Rule of thumb....Don't wear one!
  18. Thought this might be helpful to some... 1970 ENGINE 350 w/2bbl and automatic transmission 1108427 350 w/2bbl and manual transmission 1108338 350 w/4bbl, 402, 454 w/automatic transmission 1108430 350 w/4bbl, 402, 454 w/manual transmission 1108418 1971-1972 ENGINE 350, 402, 454 w/automatic transmission 1108430 350 w/4bbl, 402, 454 w/manual transmission 1108418
  19. I have fresh Moog 501 Variable rate springs. I'm also planning on adding 1" spacers to bring 'er up a bit more in the rear.
  20. Tony, I sent you a P.M.
  21. Hey Tony, sounds like you have found your answer but here's a pic of my Uncle's Monte (now mine) when it was only 3 or 4 years old with it's original rims and tires. Cheers, Larry
  22. Hey Chris....Oooooo I'm melting! Don't underestimate yourself buddy....you can fix that....LOL
  23. Hi Chris, I would just check it every few days and make sure there isn't any moisture collecting under it because of the tarp. The cover is probably made to breath but the tarp could make it "sweat".
