Yes, I beleive the vinyl roof trim on all first gen Montes were painted the colour of the vinyl. But, only part of it is painted and leaves a bead of chrome around the roof. When they say "A-body" I always thought that referred to the body shell and not the frame. As we know, the body of a Monte is basically the same as the Chevelle and other A-bodies. Many A-bodies even share the same trunk lid. Also, I took a good look at a Grand Prix last year and it has the same roof line and back window as our Montes and other A-bodies. straightening is the thing I dread doing. I sent mine back twice and it still isn't straight. They claim to have perfect molds but that isn't always true.
