  2. My Grandpa had a 59 Olds Ninety Eight 2-door. Cool cars.
  3. As others have stated, for the long lower rocker trim use the Auveco clips. They work great.
  4. Yes! Lets add add another West Coast member to the mix! Maybe your car will be ready for the Western Meet in September 😉

Welcome! This is a great group here.
  6. It’s all assembled except for the distributor and spark plugs. Just waiting to schedule a time for the engine builder to come by and help with the first startup. The suspense is killing me. Days feel like weeks at this point 🤣.
  7. I could have used a tutorial on the different accents in the Eastern US the last time I went to an Eastern Meet. Some amusing miscommunications occurred. I’m certain I sounded funny to them though, eh!
  8. I wish them luck with the sale.
  9. Oh jeez… here we go. 🤣
  10. They will be shipping some goodies out for both meets. One shipment to Ryan in Utah and he will bring the items to both meets.
  11. Thank you for the input everyone!
  12. True. I wondered if the spade is removable and simply bolted on to a stud.
  13. I just hooked mine up. No male spade connectors. All studs with a nut and lock washer. Can your spade be removed from the stud or is the spade a part of the solenoid itself?
  14. Kevin Dyck got his 70 Monte on the Rock Auto magnet.
  15. I have installed the Pertronix electronic ignition in my distributor of my 1970 small block. Is there a problem using my original style coil and 7mm plug wires? I realize there’s an opportunity to upgrade but would prefer to use original style equipment if I can.
  16. There have been a couple others in the club as well. Bruce Stange had his car featured on the CARS Inc catalog I believe. Rod Marin who was in the club was on the OPGI cover once too.
  17. I’ll see what I can do about that. 🙂
  18. My 71 SS made the cover of the OPGI catalog. I took this photo a few years ago and they liked it for the cover.
  19. Here’s an interesting note about that image in the 1971 brochure, the mirror was added to the photo after the fact (ie touched up). It is actually a photo of a 1970 Monte Carlo that they colorized and touched up for the 1971 brochure. For the 71 catalog they changed the wheels, tires, hood emblem, halo trim, driver’s mirror and rear SS trim in the photo. The door panel still is 1970 though. This is the original photo.
  20. Here's the option list from GM for a Canadian built 1971 SS454 Monte Carlo with the sport mirror option. Note the description for D35
