71MonteCarloMD Posted November 14, 2014 Share Posted November 14, 2014 I noticed my TH350 have issue with reverse when starting up, going off real slow or nothing at beginning. After driving around, no issue with reverse, the transmission fluid level is fine, what else would cause the reverse not working very well at cold start? cny first gen 71 Posted November 14, 2014 Share Posted November 14, 2014 You will also probably notice it starting out in low soon, most likely low reverse clutch pack going bad probably due to the seal going or gone bad in low reverse piston. Sorry looks like overhaul in in your not to distant future. Look inside the trans pan you'll probably see some silver stuff in the pan. footballubet Posted November 15, 2014 Share Posted November 15, 2014 They aren't too bad to rebuild. But you will need a couple specialty tools. Most any shop that rebuilds trans will give a warranty also. Do some checking around at your local shops on prices if you drop it off for them to rebuild.
