67ss4speed
Looking to replace the old rear springs on my friends 70 Monte Carlo, AC car, 350 2bbl. Q - Can anyone that has had good results recommend a manufacturer and part number for a decent "Stock" ride height spring? I've been through this on my Chevelle and am on the 3rd set of rear springs, I have had 3/4" drop with them settling, from when new within in a year, changing manufacturers and spending more money each time. Thanks in advance Steve Edited February 26 by 67ss4speed
Canuck
I can’t recall the part number but I simply requested the Moog spring that was the same as OEM at the parts store and they looked it up. They gave me the option of the standard spring or the cargo option and I went with the cargo. The ride height is the same but the spring rate is different and won’t compress as easily with weight in the trunk. My front springs are also Moog OEM replacements. There are many different front springs depending on the engine and if it has AC.
cny first gen 71
I used cargo coils CC501 still didn't sit quite as I wanted it I put 2 inch spacers in the rear to get height I wanted. I think just with the springs it was about stock height.
