maddmann313
What kind of cam should I get??? I don't want anything too mild but I want something bigger than stock that will add horse power!! I have a set of roller lifters, and if I use them do I have to have a roller cam, and roller rockers or no? Im new in the whole cam thing! I know how they work and what they do but not sure about the measurement or anything like that!

robs70monte
For a mild street car you don't need a roller cam or roller rockers jest get a 268h comp cam or the 268xe its way better then stock and isn't to wild great street cam
LuckyKenny
I have a medium eldbrock, and it definatley makes a difference It's not a crazy lift but it does the trick, i still get around 16 mpg. Sounds good too
robs70monte
very nice sounding but yours is also a 383 so don't be expecting the same nice rumble with the same cam in a stock 350 and stock exhaust

robs70monte
383 set up is one of the best things you can do to your 350 to get the max power out of it, it don't get much better then a 383 in small block land
DRDIRT11
till u get to big block land
robs70monte
Now your talking but a well built 383 will keep up with mild big block and its way lighter but a all out big block is the way to go
Enigmatic
Compcam thrumpr series cam. They make great power when setup with the right components, sound like you are running a more radical cam yet still very streetable.

It has an 1800 stall too, if i didn't have that quadrajet i wouldn't drive it as much as i do. I'm happy in small block land haha
DRDIRT11
ive never heard of a mild big block
Enigmatic
That is the only thing about thumpr series cams is you have to run a 2400 stall converter. Same cam I have in my motor...just have not heard it yet.."sigh" But, a friend has it in his camaro and it sounds amazing...very healthy. We shall see, I will post vids when I start it. Sam (Bones)
you will have very poor vacuum at idle with a thumper cam, at least I do with the one I have in my .030 over 454, and comp recommends a 2000+ stall converter for this cam
robs70monte
Ya with the radical cam in my chevelle i had no power brakes so i took the booster off less weight lol
