Leghome
On my SBC I set the plug gap at .045.
stangeba
I believe there are spark plugs made with a larger gap so you are not just bending the electrode wider. Can't remember the AC code for them. Bruce
amsterdam84
Are most plus now gapped to .045 from the store?
Leghome
When I replaced mine they were gaped at .
MagicDragon42
I also set mine at 0.045 with the HEI ignition. That's been six years without any problems in my 402. I have read some reviews about E3 plugs. Looks like people really like them or hate them. Mike
FASTSS454
To the OP keep the gap at .035 unless you are running HEI then open it up to .040 a MSD is just multiple sparks not higher voltage unless you use a MSD coil to, the voltage is set by the coil windings and the MSD is just the triggering device for the coil. E3 are just a expensive gimmick because we all know that electricity will take the shortest path to ground.
amsterdam84
You cant use a coil if you use a coil in cap dist can you?
