  1. They limit the amount of hot exhaust flow, more flow more heat more hp loss and greater possibility of vapor locking in the hot summer months, I would buy gaskets that completely block off the flow on a nice weather driven car myself.
  2. The OEM joints were greaseless and lasted a long time.
  3. Unless your shocks are load bearing like a coil over I see no advantage in adding the brace.
  4. I bought a extra washer jug and cap and mounted it on the right side on a homemade bracket that attached to the battery hold down bolt, looks like factory installed.
  5. Ya I'll opt for a set of Hookers and electric cutouts and still be close in price.
  6. If it stripped out you can install a nutsert or drill and tap it out for a 3/8's bolt
  7. If the bolt is missing install a new one, if it is broken off you need to remove whats left before installing a new one.
  8. whoa those are a little exspensive.
  9. Waiting to hear how they fit in the chassis. My 2455 Hookers are 20 plus years old.
  10. I am running a 3 inch driveshaft from Strange Engineering with a American Thunder dual exhaust with no clearance issues.
  11. Why would you put a rectangle port intake on a engine with oval ports?
  12. Do you have oval or rectangle port heads?
  13. I had3.31 when I bought it then dropped 4.10's in when I raced it then changed to 3.73's when I put it back on th street and last summer I installed the S60 with 3.55, I like the 3.55 the best
  14. If you go the original housing route pay attention to the area where the tubes are pressed into the center section, I have been finding a lot of them starting to weep lube and if someone welds them to stop the leak without a jig they will warp the housing.
  15. It will fit but it isn't desirable hence the 300 dollar price for a 800 dollar rear end if it was a Chevy 12 bolt. Your brake parts will bolt on if you do move on it but I would do a cover off inspection to verify it's condition, any rust on the ring or pinion and it will be a screamer, literally. In todays market you will be money ahead to buy a complete new rear end from Moser or Strange and end up with a far better product. I selected the S60 from Strange for my car.
  16. Chevy never put a sport mirror on the right side that I can remember. Anyone have a picture of a original car with one? I have a set of real paper parts manuals from 1975, both part numbers and illustrations so I'll see what I can find tomorrow.
  17. Wow that was fantastic to watch the progress, made me realize I should have taken more pictures of everything. Young guns remember take pictures of your life.
  18. They maked the tips with yellow paint to show they torqued them on the line, no yellow paint would mean they were replaced somewhere down the line.
  19. Roadster shop is about a hour away, may have to look into them.
  20. I did the interior in my Monte, order the Legendary and go to Eastwood and order a box of hogrings and a hogring pliers and have at it, it isn't that difficult of a job, I also did a Katzkin leather in my Silverado.
  21. next time mine need replacing I am going to try some of the copper ones I think
  22. I always smeared a layer on both sides of the rubber washer between the coil and cap it keeps moisture out.
