Shnalla
Hi ! After reading Chevyss' topic, I am wondering how to rebuild my AC... I do not know if my compressor still works. the "clutch" seems to be destroyed, rotten... Is it possible to buy a new clutch ? What should I check ? Seal, hoses ? I do not want to break the bank
black07ss
If the system is still all hooked up and maybe out of freon I would have someone evacuate the system and see if it holds
72-CLASSIC_RIDE
First step is to have it checked out by a QUALIFIED AC Tech. Tell them you would like to have it diagnosed for any/all problems and then decide course of action. Don't know about France but here in USA, they charge $100.00 US Currency & up for inspection/diagnosis. But if you are serious about finding what is required to make operational, that is your best bet. Doug
Dans '70 Z20
Well just had my compressor rebuilt by Classic Auto Air in Florida. They also tested (made sure within arrange of accuracy) and restored my POA valve. Reckon it would cost a nice chunk of change to send him yours from France though. dan
