jja
Removed the old shocks and am having trouble installing new monroe shocks. Read a few posts that mention others using same shock. I can insert shock and attach top bolt on upper control arm but getting shock through the hole in lower control arm is a pain, plus getting the bottom flange through the indentions on lower control is #&@! Any suggestion are appreciated.
badddoin
Maybe I'm misunderstanding you. The front shocks bolt up to the lower control arm into a couple of slip-over nuts. the bottom shaft (flange) stays below the control arm, I think. Sam (Bones)
correct! the bolts go thru the shock and "J" nuts are on the control arm so...the bottom of the shock does not go in the control arm, it gets bolted to the bottom side of the control arm
badddoin
There's a good shot of it about four minutes in on this . It's an S-10, but it's the same.
cny first gen 71
Maybe i'm to late here but if your using sense a trac shocks the ride height has to be the stock factory height for them shocks to work the way there designed.
AlohaMonte
I'm replacing my shocks with these sense-tracs and have a quick question. What size bolts do I need for the shock end that mounts to the lower control arm. Thanks
