Dans '70 Z20
Spoke to Art Ballard (mint SS454). He says at Nat'l Monte Carlo owners assoc conventions he has seen guys with peg boards filled with compressor brackets. Says usually conventions held in Kentucky/Ohio. Anyone live near there that could take a look during next meet? I will check their site for Where? When?

Back in 1992 A friend of mine needed a set of auto Level Control Compressor Brackets for his 71 Monte SS. So I took the set off my 70 Monte SS and sent them to a local machine shop so they could make a set. They did a perfect remake of these Brackets. I've talked to the shop and they would be willing to make up more Bracket sets. That is if someone in the club would be willing to Loan out a set to copy. As to 70 being differant from 71, I find that hard to believe because they both use the same compressor and inner fenders. Now for the cost, they would have to make up the first set to come up with that price. I would guess you would be looking at a cost of around $150 to $175 for the pair, as We paid $125.00 back in 92. So If anyone has loaner Brackets and are will to help out other club members please contact me ASAP. If I get someone to come foward I will make a post so we can get a list started. It might bring down the cost you guys. Hope this helps you guy out. Art Ballard
