Willie, yes. 4 out of the 5 were perfect. The 5th had flattened out somehow. Took it to Wheel Works in Burlington NJ for repairs. Then had it sandblasted and powder coated. -

Still Rember my query about the SS stripes. Thank you everyone. I was taken, but I still have insurance on everything from fields to tractors and farm animals. and no I don't raise any sheep. just the sick *&^%$#"s out there. I'd pay 10 times that to be able to put my hands on them. That was my job in the marines. miss those days too.

Hey Kevinβ¦Completely off-topic, sorryβ¦ Damnβ¦ I miss Green Bayβ¦ havenβt been there to tailgate with the Robinson Steel crew before a Pack/Bears game since when Number 12 was new at the helm. Is Wallyβs Supper Club still in business? I believe it was off the Mason exit or nearby.

It wasn't to good It was 44,000 dollars for a 70 SS monte, not restored but nice and 60,000 OE miles, sure it needed a few things, but I only sent out the 500.00$ retainer to hold till I could come see It. Had multiple conversations. I deal in tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars with the farm every year for many many years guys. never been done this way before. NEVER. But too good a deal no I know underpriced and overpriced. and overpriced was the 70 SS I was talking to David about buying before. OOPs did I text that out loud. π

What a shame. Hope you can recover your $ somehow.. Must have sounded to good to be true. And unfortunately, was..

Love both of your cars. Rob and Dave. A Question, I have considered putting the SS stripes on one of my future First Gen projects in the future. does anyone know if they come in a kit or will I have to have them painted on? Also to all I believe I just got scammed on a 70 Monte Carlo purchase. I was looking at a fellow members car. He sent me pictures of his car. while was in the process of arranging a deal, an individual Popped up as a private owner trying to sell a 70 SS, we all know how much I'm building a First Gen collection, so I sent him a down payment, told our member that I was looking at his car that I was going with another car. I was notified today that my money which I had my bank transfer was sent to a known unreliable site/person. I jumped too fast even when I was warned. I am an Idiot, I blame it on my stroke. But can only blame myself. so If anyone going by the name Bill Taylor from Raliegh North Carolina. be aware, be suspicious, and call the law if pressured to wire money as I did. I am not That stupid and am very ashamed. I do have authorities looking into it. again sorry n needed you all to know.

Iβll be bringing a different blue oval ride this year. Borrowing a buddyβs F250 (βThorβ) to pull the Monte. But maybe Iβll park it on the show field to keep the trend alive.
