  1. Lots of rain outs this year but the good days we're great! Won a couple of shows and had a lot of fun. a couple of parades and it will be time to put Big Orange to bed.

  2. I had a new member contact me that he was not seeing the Members Only Forum. One of the things I suggested to him was to log out and then log back in. I heard back from him today that logging out and logging back in took care of his issue and he added the below comment in his email. What he said we all know but I wanted to share his comment with everyone. Here is Mark's Comment: "Boy this website sure has a lot to offer." Welcome to the Bright Side Mark. rob

  3. First snow usually flies around the 1st-2nd week of Oct. and hangs around until April. not much for a show season. About 75% of this season was rain soaked. I'll probably be looking to relocate to the east coast after next year when I retire (if interest rates cooperate).

  4. In response to another thread where we talked about adding a throttle linkage extender to the Holley Terminator Stealth EFI throttle body (T.B.), here are some related pics. The issue stems from the fact that the pivot point for the accelerator linkage is closer to the throttle plates on the EFI T.B. versus a carburetor. This causes a bit higher pedal effort and abrupt operation of the throttle sometimes. Holley makes an extender link, but may interfere with certain air cleaner bases (at least the ones I have on the Monte & Z/28). Shortening the link a little and massaging the linkage on the TB makes it better. Here is a link to the other thread with some good pics. and part number for the Holley part: https://www.firstgenmc.com/forums/index.php?/topic/28412-1970-ss…-edelbrock-air-gap-clear-stock-hood/#comment-260243 Part as it comes from Holley: Cut a little bit off for air cleaner base clearance: TIG welded up, new hole drilled and painted black: Installed:

  5. Saw this one at the big weekly cruise tonight. Spoke to him for quite a bit, and he's had it since 1980 if I recall. He was a member of the old MC club, and gave him the details of our club & my number. Sounds like he may call and possibly join. Paul, with the black '72 above was there as well. Spoke to another ex-Monte owner who is looking for his old one (he knows where it is located, but hasn't been able to reach the current owner). Anyways, met him a couple years ago when I first brought mine out and we keep talking about him coming to Carlisle, etc. Firmed it up tonight, he's coming over this week sometime to get him signed up as a full member and maybe get a room reserved for Carlisle too.

  7. Four 72’s at the Glass Festival Saturday. The Midnight Bronze is a one owner 402 car with limited options. The gray is highly modified. The white one I remember seeing ten years ago and what a transformation it has been thru. Then Ole Red from yours truly with extra signage
