  7. you may have rim clearance issues with the drop spindle and may have to increase your tire size..there are others that have done this..wait a bit to see if they chime in..Robert may shed some light
  8. use a 3or4" x whatever piece of abs or pvc..cap off 1 end ...or plastic tarp in a long 3 sided box

    Fuel Question

if you are going to drop the tank why not get a new one..and a new sending unit...all will be fresh and a big piece of mind knowing that your 40+ year old tank won't be a problem with rust and gunk and gremlins
  16. must of really hurt to drill that hole in a perfectly good panel...nice addition

  18. what Gush said...lol I remember where you are at now..that was 2 years ago...sigh
  19. hard to believe that the 1/4ers rotted out so fast....guessing lots of winter salt in Shelby ?
  20. the frame and well are almost in line with each other..according to Bill's chart i should be able to notch the frame..I have already cut 4" of the trunk pan out just in case I end up backhalfing the frame in the furture..as for now I will try to notch as much as I can as a backhalf is an expensive venture ..with the dollar the way it is ..even if I do it myself...In the pic I have supported the tire to see how the car would look with the tires..me so happy
  21. IMO all frames rust ..that's just the way it is..I would fix the frame at the rear..there is no suspension tie in there and all it does is barely hold the back of the car up (gas tank)..take the frame and have it assessed by a body shop that have the correct frame straightening equip. by doing the simple repair it is well worth the extra cost and hassle of finding a new frame..I have seen some absolute horror bodies that have been brought back to life..but then again for the price of a morrison chassis you can get a whole car done nicely that all you need is a plate and go!!!!
  22. I really love that steering wheel...any hints as to where I might find one ????
