  1. Yeah, underside pics would have been nice, sort of odd. That module under the dash is for the Dakota Digital gauges.
  2. Funny you mention that Mark. My first thought was to suggest Extrude Hone 🙂. That, and maybe a little exhaust port matching, but for something that sounds like a stock rebuild, it would probably net you about 0.5 horsepower. Certainly not worth the expense & why I said clean them up and go. I think Holley/Hooker has some cast iron type manifolds out there that may have some flow benefits, but no personal experience. EDIT: I just looked on the Holley/Hooker site. It appears they don't have anything for Big Block Chevy. Just small block, LS/LT swaps, some Fords, etc. I don't know if LS6 Chevelle manifolds are different than the LS5, but someone here will have the answer to that. Maybe they were bigger/flowed better because of the higher horsepower?
  3. As you mentioned, clean them up and install.

Definitely me, for sure!!! Found you out there too!
  5. No worries, Lyle It's actually a core group of very close friends, just having fun with each other.

Thanks Larry, I'm just sort of good with 'google', that's all 😁 Give them part number: BK 7821070 The NAPA link above is from the general online consumer site. Here are a couple of screen shots from my Pro-Link account. It shows that my local store has none, but the Buffalo distribution center has 65 of them, which means they'd be in the store typically on the 10:30 AM, 1:30 PM, or the 4:30 PM truck to my store, depending on what time I called them. It also shows the quantity in the nearby stores as well, and they'll get parts from there if needed. I'm pretty sure your local NAPA can do the same thing, as evidenced by all the distribution centers around the country. You being in Indy which is a pretty big market, pretty sure they have something similar.

https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/BK_7821070 Yout local NAPA dealer either has them in stock, or can get them probably later in the day from the distribution center. There's always Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Bussmann-Division-SFE-4-Auto-Fuse/dp/B000CF9G80?th=1
  8. Maybe Rob can create a judging class just for the imaginary cars... Nowadays, everybody gets a trophy anyhow.

I have a couple of the old Toro 'Power Handle' snowblowers in the attic (my dad loved that thing). They used an engine assembly that you could take off and put on different implements like lawn mower, garden tiller, water pump, etc. They were pretty old (1950's+?), but an innovative idea. I have the lawn mower and garden tiller up there too, I think. The pic is from the internet, because I just didn't feel like going out there after moving snow around for the last hour...

I made that mistake of not putting the markers up last week Bill, then I proceeded to make 'sod rolls' with the plow blade that Dennis is referring to. That truck is pretty efficient at making sod. I'll be out there with a shovel putting the pieces back in place when it melts, 😁.

The city of Buffalo has been towing cars, plowing the streets, and trying to put the cars back, free of charge to the owners in an attempt to clear up the situation. Time will tell if that's a successful tactic, but I can imagine a lot of repair shops will be busy after that.... Travel bans, grocery stores closing, it's just a mess out there. Luckily, my town hasn't had those problems, yet (but the next towns over have fallen into that, just a few miles away) . On top of all that though, they're looking for people to shovel out the football stadium again this week. You think with this being a known yearly condition, they would have decided to build the new football stadium with a dome, or some kind of roof....nope, not here....

It's been a mess out here, no doubt. We're definitely paying for all that nice weather last month. Part of the problem is the lakes (Erie & Ontario) are still warm, with no ice cover. That sets up a condition which is just a snow making machine. I'm dead in the center of both lakes, which often spares us from some of the real heavy snows that they get just 10 miles below us. This week the situation has unfortunately decided to dump on us here as well, but still not as bad as the numbers Steve has shown. Still, a foot here, 6 to 8 inches there, 4 inches on top of that every day is getting pretty annoying, combined with temperatures in the teens and single digits, lol. Next week is projected to be close to 40 degrees and rain, which now sets up for flooding conditions they're concerned about. On a positive side, the days are getting noticeably longer!
  17. This is just for Mark, I know he loves Corvettes!
  18. Let us know if you notice any differences in temperatures. It would be interesting to see what, if anything changes.
  19. It appears to just be a weep/vent hole, like you'll usually find on the bottom side. Quick test, blow a little air in that hole, if it comes out the bottom one, all is good. As far as 'high pressure/flow'... FWIW, when I ordered a couple of radiators from Griffin, they were real adamant to use stock type water pumps. They said the higher flow would actually work against you, as there wasn't enough time for the heat exchange process to occur. Perhaps it's more important with their design of radiator, I don't know. Then again, if GM thought their engines needed higher flow/pressure water pumps than already manufactured, they maybe would have made them like that?
  20. Not just charging stations Bryan. The infrastructure doesn't have the generating capacity to accommodate the load all those cars will draw when plugged in for charge. Remember, I was a control room operator in one of the largest power plants in the country. On any given day, we're usually pushed to the limit, with the ISO (Independent System Operator) asking for a few more megawatts when it was physically impossible to make more power. Add to that the number of fossil fuel plants that are shuttered, with no alternate means to make up the lost capacity of them. Two prime examples are a couple of plants that were local to us, each with about 700MW capacity. Poof, they were done, and nothing to replace them except for a few windmills here and there, and they make a few megawatts each....peanuts.

The lighter circuit is fused for 20 amps in that fuse block.

I'm a little confused as to why you blew fuses using a hydraulic jack? As far as replacing fuses with a higher rating, generally not recommended. That size was chosen to protect the circuits for a reason, and also the wires leading up to those circuits. In this case, the wires likely wouldn't be a factor, but the dash lights, instrument panel, etc could possibly be damaged with a larger fuse. We just covered those small fuses recently & they're available on Amazon and NAPA. Check below, see if that helps. https://www.firstgenmc.com/forums/index.php?/topic/21342-1970-fuse-box/page/2/#comment-263525
