I don’t have heat. I realize it’s because I don’t have a vacuum source to the control head. Two vacuum hoses come out the firewall, white stripe (original) goes to heater control valve. Second ( black) goes to a vacuum source. My question is two fold. 1) what vacuum source do I use, 2) how do I tie in the round vacuum canister ball that screws to the a/c box. The vacuum diagram does not include the single hose ball canister in the illustration. Thanks as usual.

I am NOT a body man but if the door and fender are not set how are you checking for panel gaps? Also agree with Joe on the lifting positions but with the dirt floor I wouldn’t use jack stands either ( they sink and through frame positions off. I would opt for 2 ft long 6x6 or 8x8 wood cribbing and then shim it to a level position. If the frame isn’t straight nothing will be.

Excellent. They will run lumpy when cold. Check your vacuum hoses for a crack. What did you find wrong with the stater wiring?

2 inches of rain( in two days) followed by at least two inches of sleet. And now so far 1 1/2 of snow. I plowed yesterday afternoon a little before the change from sleet to snow. 450 pounds of rock salt and it didn’t touch it. Now I’m off to get more salt( I have 350 pounds left). Temperature is going to negative two tonight. This sucks living in the middle, we get it all.

vacuum issues won’t cause a no start or at least a no fire. Will cause it to run like crap though. No on the shim also that will be a different issue. If it’s cranking with no fire, two things fuel and spark. If original, fuel pump is mechanical no electric. Ez test put a tad of fuel down the carb and crank. If it fires, fuel pump issue. If not move on to electrical.

That’s the only thing I miss about Minnesota. I love snowmobiling.
