I order a new SS cluster from “sonny” and I had them add a volt gauge instead of amps. You guys are correct the instructions suck but now that I paid the bill I cannot get a return call. I know someone rewrote the information in normal people English if someone could tell me where that is posted I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance Dennis

Thanks but it’ll be a loooooong project. Funds dictate progress. I am going to do a complete frame off as true to original as possible minus the obvious parts we can’t get anymore ( exhaust. Gardner). The interior will be changed to tach and gauges and buckets as correct as possible for 71. I will probably start a new post at some point as by that time I won’t be a newbie anymore. I would say low options on the interior but it does have ac power windows and locks and got forbid am 8 track. Bench seat and idiot lights

I was looking at your list and my tears match (BM) but my fronts don’t (AK). Is that something odd or is that a year specific list. Mine is a 71 SS

Welcome. Information o plenty as I have learned

So the new frost plug is in the flexplate and trans are in (man I miss my lift). All is now good there. It’s on to all the electrical issues and now most of that is good. Still trying to get all the dash lights to work but I needed to do something to prove to myself that I actually accomplished something so I had the rally’s blasted and powder coated and put a set of bfg’s on(the visual things help motivation)sometimes it’s just the little things. All this works just to tear it back down seems senseless but for me it works

Actually that may work. Question though. Are there numbers between the rivits? Mine doesn’t seem to have that or possible that it’s a 1972 thing. But then again look what I am dealing with thanks

I need help. The vin tag on my 71 is rusted away (windshield leak) and California hwy patrol issued a replacement and riveted it to the door jamb (it’s all legal and documented). I am trying to get a new one for the dash under the windshield and Dataplates don’t know what it looks like. So I need pictures of the details of the tag if anyone has a 71 with the windshield out and the dashpad off. From different angles (top side and close ups ). Please cover your number if you want but details of the numbers may help him also Thanks in advance Dennis
