  1. Here`s one that would fit depending on how thick you could go. Measures 7.5" high X 12" wide X 3.12 thick Part no. FLX-4190 from summit racing This not the one I run, I have more room so I put a larger one on.

    Stolen SS 454

They use flat beds or tow trucks all the time, a good example is overhaulin, they will load a car in minutes with neighbors watching. If you look official nobody stops you. Sirens blaring and they just keep loading like its an everyday thing and nobody comes running. You have to be in earshot of that horn for you to respond, which isn`t always the case. I have the loudest siren made installed on my truck (135 or 138 decibels, can`t remember) it`s loud but not that loud if the tv is on and I`m on the other side of the house, I can`t hear it.

    Stolen SS 454

Even with all that protection nothing stops a flat bed trailer coming along and hauling the car away. GPS tracking system helps in most thefts. A pager that you can carry with a long range can alert you as it is happening.
  4. Come on, here is the place to prove yourself, I`ve heard some high claims by some people and this is the spot to back it up.
  5. This first timeslip is on a stock 402 with the addition of headers and a 14" open element air filter. Probably one of the first times I had it to the track, car was running horrible, times were all over the place. The timeslip below is where it is at of right now, with the 502. Now the car will run consistent runs back to back. Motor is pretty much untuned right out of the crate.

    Need Some Help

Sometimes someone has to state the obvious because it just may have been overlooked, and your not doing this later..
  7. I`ve read many articles on them and they always seem to make power. I bought a 1" fully open spacer that is made from a material that doesn`t transmit heat, and track tested it on my car. My car went almost a tenth slower but I blame that on my hood clearance, I don`t have much room and that spacer put my filter to the bottom of the hood and with my "filtered top" it was now restricted. I took it off and my next run was back to normal. I will try it again with a cowl hood in the future. I would suggest it to you if you have the room.
  8. Is there a company selling a stock or stock looking gas tank with the sump already welded on like the picture below? I`ve seen the stainless ones for $800, really don`t want to go that route. I will buy a new tank and a sump and have it welded on if I have to (I don`t have a welder at this time) so I`ll have to find a decent shop in my area. But I thought maybe there`s a company out there that I couldn`t find. Bill
  9. Exactly, my posi used to turn on both sides in the same direction but now years later it rotates like an open rearend . Although it hooks at the track with slicks like is was new.
  10. jrb70454... Someone may have removed yours, I have a auto and removed mine.
  11. Yes, definately above and in the frame.
  12. Covan Classics has brushed aluminum panels with holes, gauges, or blank panels. This may not be a correct picture.
  13. I was afraid you were going to ask. This is not my speacilty (transmissions that is), someone will come to help I`m sure. But I do know you fill them first.
  14. Sam... Do you have 1350 series u-joints? I was wondering about the shock on the joints myself, at least with the foot break theres already pressure on them (no shock).
  15. It definately is tight to the firewall, can`t even fit a finger between the two.
  16. Heres the link... http://www.budzter.com These spacers are nice and heavy duty.
  17. Sam... I`ve installed QA1 rear 12-way adjustable shocks, Hotchkis rear lowering springs, adjustable rear spring spacer (sits under the spring on the perch), adjusts from 0 to 4", it can be used to preload right rear tire or lift both sides, adjusts in seconds with a socket set, Hotchkis rear sway bar, edelbrock double adjustable rear upper control arms, edelbrock boxed rear lower control arms, edelbrock tubular rear braces (for strength and to accurately locate rear suspension). The rear end is from a 70 chevelle, with a 4.11 posi, added moser c-clip axles with 1/2" wheel studs.
  18. So now that this post was revived, Hammer did you ever get into the 11`s?
  19. I was reffering to the top of the line 400 tranny (the godfather) from the site he indicated, capable of handling 900hp.
  20. Are you going for that look? or Are you going to try and reduce heat? If its the look, I think it would look good on your engine (the way its laid out with the colors). Don`t wrap a good set though cuz they will rust over time. Ceramic reduces heat also , but I`m sure you know that already.
  21. A cheaper way is to buy aftermarket, but only if you don`t care if it`s no longer original. I purchased Procar rally 2000 seats from summit racing.(Don`t let the name "rally" scare you.) Check out the picture on-line, they even say it has a mucle car look. $267.50 plus $49.95 for brackets (each). I even ran into a guy with a 71 monte carlo at cruise that had the exact seats I had.
