  1. Thanks Steve, maybe I'll just install in the glove box while I get comfortable that the new transmission is set up correctly.
  2. I recently installed a 2004r and I've been thinking of adding a transmission temp gauge. I'm wondering if I can share the stock engine temp gauge via a toggle switch. Has anyone done this? Is it possible?
  3. This is three shows in one: The main show at the fairgrounds with about 8,000 cars, the nightly "show" at the host hotel and surrounding streets, and, if you haven't seen enough, get an ice cream and walk around the FGMCC hotel lot to finish out the day. Great shows, cars, food, and company!
  4. This car was on Hemmings Auction page for a many months.
  5. I'm a few years aware from medicare so I haven't researched supplemental plans.
  6. I'm a member, they are powerful advocates for seniors and their publications allow me to stay updated on news, legislature, and actives that may impact us.
  7. I’m wrapping up a radio and speakers, gears in the rear, and an OD transmission. I’m looking forward to car show season and seeing many of you in Carlisle and Syracuse.
  8. Welcome, congratulations on your purchase.
  9. It did, the initial tv install went fine. It’s the fluctuating pressure reading in reverse, 1, and 2 that I’m wondering about. The pressure fluctuates by 50lbs with and without the tv cable hooked up. Taking the initial readings, with and without the tv cable connected, are in their setup instructions.
  10. Thanks Scott, Not driving it until Bowtie support gives me the green light. They are pretty particular about their setup procedures.
  11. Agree on the importance of a properly installed tv cable. I have a 4lb difference between no tv and tv hooked up at idle. It’s the bouncing pressure that I’m curious about.
  12. I just installed a bowtie stage 2 2004r and am now checking initial pressure readings. In reverse, 1st, and 2nd the pressure gauge bounces/fluctuates by 50lbs. In all other gears the pressure is steady. Transmission has 11.5 quarts of fluid, including the torque converter, per their instructions. The pressure fluctuates with and without the tv cable installed. I’ll call them Monday but was wondering if anyone here has experience with these transmissions? Thanks
  13. Happy St Patrick's Day all. This was always a big holiday in my family growing up. I'll have a beer later and remember my father always having irish music playing on the radio. May love and laughter light your days, and warm your heart and home. May good and faithful friends be yours, wherever you may roam. May peace and plenty bless your world with joy that long endures. May all life’s passing seasons bring the best to you and yours!
  14. Congratulations, now on to a whole new chapter.
  15. Beautiful truck and family history.
  16. Bryan, did you happen to look at the 71? I noticed it has no reserve. https://www.gaaclassiccars.com/vehicles/36989/1971-chevrolet-monte-carlo-ss Looks like the black 70 went for $23k!
  17. Pictures always look better and often the description is lacking key info.,,,, I've driven days and many miles to see cars that looked pristine in pictures only to get there and be back on the road in minutes. I hope this is a great car and exactly what you are looking for.

Just noticed you are from MA as well. Starting in April there is huge cruise on Sunday mornings on the Plymouth water front. Also take a look at the club mini-meets in Carlisle PA and Syracuse NY this year. I'm going to both so if you are interested, we could probably connect on the road and caravan to them.
  19. Steve, I think this is what you need? https://www.ss396.com/chevelle/JCS-5075.html?gclid=Cj0KCQiA6LyfBhC3ARIsAG4gkF_3cwdywgNDmmUHAGPb8FXLcAJKYWuFwaq2cClSLDGTxDS5cGAZY-UaAlFIEALw_wcB
  20. Welcome, love the color. Become a full club member and then join us at the Carlisle and/or Syracuse mini-meets.

    Welcome, beautiful cars.
  23. I checked out the satellite view of host hotel. It is surrounded by large empty parking lots which is much better suited for the nightly chaos then then the old host hotel.
  24. Search eBay for a seller Staticz2229 (Quick Performance Racing). I bought an Eaton True-trac, Richmond ring and pinion, and install kit for $675. Or, they also sell a new Eaton limited slip carrier only for $345.
