I was just on the Team Chevelle Site and read a post about the difference in Monte and Chevelle tanks. They are saying the filler necks are a different length. I just bought a stainless tank through Ground Up and didn't even mention Monte Carlo and just ordered a 1970 Chevelle tank for my 71 Monte.Don't want the emissions. Have a steel tank in storage that I bought years ago. Again Chevelle. I trust Leo's statement.

They are only going to sell a few of those grilles for the Monte. That is why the price will be higher. The club will be their best customer.

Check the capacity. You might want to check Tony's Toy Box. He used to work for Ausleys. He was at Carlisle and he is selling gas tanks made out of Stainless Steel. I think the price was 229.00 and made in USA. They were not passing out Catalogs, so my info might be a little off. Carl

TB The part number is 1646. Called 70-71 lower panel molding extension. The pair go for 58.70 in the 2006 Catalog. Those are the lower ones. The upper ones are for the SS. Only Larry makes them. Read the other posts on this topic.

Only buy the long center pc from the parts place. The "hockey sticks" are not very good. They are made out of Alum. and don't fit very well. Buy the real deal from www.trimparts.com you will be happy. Its only money and its for your Monte. I want a set of the upper hockey sticks. I was planning on posting it tonight. I'm going to try to make a set out of the lower ones. Carl from CT.

Can anyone tell me how many teeth are on the drive gear inside the 400 transmission? This is the gear that drives the speedometer gear. I'm trying to figure out what speedometer gear I need for a combination of a 350 engine, 400 tranny and 3.31 gears. I gave up years ago and got it close enough. Now they have all the right gears. Thanks Allen. I'm Vista now and XP before. I'm not sure what my Brother has, probability XP. I'll find out tonight. My new e mail is yahoo. Don't remember what my old one was. He said the e mail is was about to send was thru Outlook Express and all my e mails are stuck in the Word page. Does that make sense? I need help. I gave my brother my old computer a year ago. He was never on the internet with it, just used Word to write a book. Long story. He is signed up with Comcast for internet service now. He went to send some pages thur Word and all of a sudden he got all my saved e mails from my inbox with my e mail address. I guess that is because it was my old PC. Should of used a sledge hammer on it. It gets better. My PC was off and when I turned it on I had trouble getting into my mail. Finally I did and all of my saved email were gone. Why would the guards be different?

I think you flip it. There is a different thickness on each side.I could be wrong. I think that is the case with the repro mirrors.
