  1. Cruise nights are great. It beats cutting the grass for sure. 👍
  2. My Buddy and I said the exact same thing on the weekend Rob. The car looks in great shape. I wonder if the demand for them is limited and that’s what keeps the price down?
  3. Thanks Rick....that’s it! 😎
  4. Hi Larry and Rob, Im not sure but I do know it has the original 194 engine in it. I’ve always liked that car and I see it at local shows every year. And Rob, that bug eyed Sprite had a for sale sign in it with a price of $17,000 CDN which is approx $13,000 USD
  5. Congratulations on the purchase Rob and happy birthday. She’s a beauty!
  6. When restoring to original your best bet is to purchase a service manual. The 71 SS didn’t come with much emission stuff. There’s no smog pump or smog system to worry about. The only thing I can think of is the charcoal canister located on the drivers side just behind the headlight.
  7. Thanks Paul. Autofest is the best show around here. Over the course of the two days about 1400+ vehicles attend. There’s some very rare vehicles on display for sure.
  8. Thanks Thomas....it was a great day and the event is on again tomorrow.
  9. Here’s some of the beauties that were on display at Autofest today. It was a good day. 😎
  10. This 71SS is owned by my friend Roy. He brought it up from the US several years ago. She’s also numbers matching with the build sheet.
  11. At Autofest in Oshawa this weekend. Beautiful weather for it.
  12. For a list of gas stations serving non ethanol go to www.puregas.org
  13. My online research is showing that the idle stop solenoid for the 1970 454 is different than the one for the 1971.
  14. Hi Paul, the big blocks definitely came with idle stop solenoids. I can’t remember the part number right now but they are available. I know they are listed on ebay sometimes.
  15. Hi Rob, I hope all is well and thanks for the message. I have no idea at this time about the 2020 meet but will keep it in mind. It would be exciting being the 50th but due to the distance I would most likely fly down. Cheers Larry
  16. I’ve just been enjoying a local show or cruise night here and there this summer. The season started late this year so it is going by quickly here in Ontario.
  17. I thought this was a post about wax. Lol
  18. Hi Bruce, my paint is now 34 years old and is single stage. It is still holding up well but has some chips here and there. I’m still buffing it and she still shines up like a new penny.
