Arvizu9618
I'm unable to locate any stamped info on my rear axle. i know I have a "peg leg", is it likely that I have a 2.73 rear? Is that what was most common for the 1970 MC? I'm trying calibrate my digital speedo (which I can do onboard) to coincide with my new 700R4 tranny. thanx, ART
bobsmc
the stamping should be on the pass axle tube on the frt side . if unable to find it you could remove the cover and look for the tooth count on the ring gear
Sam (Bones)
you can also "mark" the driveshaft and push the car so the tire (both tires need to roll for this) makes ONE complete revolution, and count the turns of the driveshaft 2 3/4....2.73 3 1/4....3.31 2 1/2....2.56 3........3.08 ect, ect
