1Bad454
Hey guys do I need to connect this in order for kick down operation to work? If you could also please explain how this operates. FYI I am going with the Holley Sniper so if it's needed I'll need to figure something out..
MC1of80
Ummm, yes. In order for the th400 electric kick down to work, it needs power. Otherwise you would have to manually downshift the trans to get the same reaction. It works off of the kickdown switch that is located at the top of the accelerator pedal. All parts, pedal mount, switch and wiring harness are repoped by the aftermarket. Power goes into the switch and when you push the pedal down, usually close to the floor, the pedal moves the switch there by sending power down to the trans and kicking in the kick down.

Scott S.
200r4 ???? The shop that rebuild mine put all the pressure switches inside the transmission, and as I'm using an electric lock-up torque converter, all I had to do was run a switched positive lead fed from an ignition source..... Has to be on if you operate in overdrive, or it will kill the T.Q.... Hope that helps.
Scott S.
P.S. The T.V. cable is quite finicky if you've never set one before too.....
MC1of80
Scott, you are correct for a 200r4 or an older 700r4, non electronic. He has a th400 by the picture.
