Anyone know if 70 frames measure the same as 72? My 70 that I'm rebuilding measures 3/4" wider than the 72 frame that I have, at the core support mount holes. My 70 is a 454 car

As far as I know all 70 through 72 frames are all the same. I'd inspect the frame for bent or twisting.

Sounds like the frame horn is tweaked possibly. The 70-72 Monte Carlo frames are the same.

One way to check is getting a diagonal measurement from front to back on one side and then the opposite direction. The measurements should be fairly close. That will tell you if the Fremantle is wonkered

The red lines were from another post awhile back that demonstrated how to measure to see if the frame is tweaked. You can try that in a few different locations.

Sounds like frame horns are out of whack. That 39  1/8" measurement should be for rad. Support.

thanks ill chehk that again tommorow, if i remember correctly the 70 frame measured 39 3/4 & the 72 donor car 39 3/8 at the rad , support .I also will double check diaganal measurements. thanks to all who responded
