Leghome
Put new plugs in my SB 3 about 5 weeks ago and they are fouled already. Have only driven the car around 200 miles. No 2 and No 7 No2 being the worst. The engine was rebuilt about 4 years ago by Qujnlan Automotive on the south side of INDY. It has ran great until recently and now a lot of minor things keep popping up nothing major but it is getting aggravating. Going to do a compression check this weekend when my son in-law gets here and look for any other thing that he can find.
MC1of80
Need more info. What plugs in it now. Are they oil fouled or fuel fouled? What is the timing at? Is the centrifugal advance working (are the weights free/loose). How are the spark plug wires? With new plugs how does it idle? Rough, smoke out the tailpipe? What carb? Size? Is there a choke? Did it go out of adjustment? Is it working? Anything done internally to the engine?
cny first gen 71
May want to do a leak down test too after the compression test. Did this just start after putting the efi on?
SPLATT71MC
Might be as simple as leaky intake gaskets.
