windshield antenna question

My car is going in for vinyl top rust repair and paint soon. They are going to pull the windshield and rear window. Should I unplug the antenna coax from the radio, or is there another connection at the windshield itself?

there should be a connection at the windshield itself.  Tell them to be very careful when removing it that they don't break that connection when removing it.

I have to gut the interior for the roof repair.

I think I'll pull the screws from the dash cap and take a look for it, maybe disconnect it my self, and leave it loose so they can slide it off if needed.

You will want to warn them to not cut or break the line to the windshield when they are trying to remove the glass

The antenna for the windshield is under the lower windshield trim. You need to remove that and then gently unplug the windshield.

If you’re reusing the glass then, like said, be careful. If you’re replacing it the new glass will have the connection on it.
