robs70monte Posted January 11, 2011 Share Posted January 11, 2011 Well I got mmy 70 monte on the lift after I got it and it has a 8.2 10 bolt non posi with 3:73 gears form what I know iv never seen nothing but 12 bolts. RichG Posted January 11, 2011 Share Posted January 11, 2011 10 bolts were standard in 350 2 barrel cars. Your gears have been changed out because 3.36:1 was the highest numerical ratio available from the factory in a 10 bolt in the Monte. 3.31:1 was the highest numerical ratio available in the 12 bolt in a Monte.
