Shawn63
Hi Folks Just came back from Leos with a photo of my THM400 tag. I think CF means Chevrolet, but not sure on the rest. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks-Shawn

overdrive
My TH400 rebuilding book shows that trans (with CF code) in '71, was only used behind 454s in Chevelles and Montes. Dan
Dans '70 Z20
Hi Folks Just came back from Leos with a photo of my THM400 tag. I think CF means Chevrolet, but not sure on the rest. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks-Shawn The last six of your vin # should also be stamped on the opposite side of the tranny as that plate (drivers side) horizontally on the flat surface just above where tranny case meets edge of pan. Sometimes tough to make out because stamped along curved edge and tops of some numbers may be cut off.
Monte7071
My 71 is also stamped CF. Do you have any more pics of your car.
